Chocup® Snowmen with Eggnog and Spiced Crumble

The Chocup® Medium transform into charming snowmen to bring joy and deliciousness to your Holiday table.

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE CRUMBLE:

FOR THE LIGHT EGGNOG MOUSSE:

PROCEDURE

Step 1.
For the crumble: mix together the softened butter with the sugar, flour, chopped hazelnuts, spices, and a pinch of salt. You’ll get a crumbly mixture.

Spread the crumble on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spaced out, and bake at 180°C (350°F) until golden, for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Step 2.
For the mousse: heat the milk in a saucepan.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar. Gradually add the hot milk, whisking well.

Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook until it thickens and reaches 82°C (180°F), or until it coats the back of a spoon. Let it cool.

Once the cream is cool, add the spices and the liqueur. Mix well.

Step 3.
Whip the cream until semi-stiff so it remains light, airy, and shiny, and gently fold it into the previous mixture. You will get a very light mousse, ready to enjoy by the spoonful.

Decorate the Chocup® by drawing the snowman’s arms and buttons with chocolate, and use red icing to create a scarf around its neck.

Place a small amount of crumble at the bottom of each Chocup® and top with the mousse. Finish with a bit more crumble.

Step 4.
Whip the cream and pipe a dollop on top of each glass to create the snowman’s head.

Use chocolate drops for the eyes and mouth, and an orange candy for the nose. Serve immediately.
